The Automation Controls & Electrical Engineer develops the architecture and common standards for the development of vehicle networks and electrical systems on Kalmar’s full line of Terminal Tractor product offerings. The engineer will develop the vehicle topology and architecture, the electrical logical schematic and system requirements, drive system controls, telemetry systems and specify the communication requirements and databases for each networked component. The controls engineer also has to effectively communicate with other system level engineering leaders in order to receive stakeholder approval.
